Summit Land & Environmental Ltd. has been involved in every aspect of oil sands development from the exploration phase through to surface acquisition for plant/pad sites, pipelines, access roads and monitoring sites. By drawing on our field experience we are able to see applications from a regulatory perspective which speeds the approvals process by addressing problems early.

Combined with extensive experience in the private sector, we are able to complete applications that address all relevant issues. We are also able to provide clients with advice and suggestions on all their surface land requirements as projects develop. Summit Land has the expertise to act as liaison between forest management companies, other stakeholders and oil sands producers. This integrated approach improves integrated land management, reduces construction costs and reduces construction time.

We combine both regulatory and private sector experience with Summit Land’s ability to provide land administration and project support. The Summit Land team provides clients with a reliable one window approach to all oil sand related projects. Our land administration team operates and maintains an on-line database that allows clients to monitor the status of their projects.

Highlights include:

• Summit Land has completed 20-30% of the total number of Oil Sands Exploration programs for the last two years
• Acquisition of 1500 core holes in the 2010-11 winter season
• Work with some of the largest players in the Oil Sands Market (500+ well program) as well as some of the smallest players (5well program)
• Able to provide clients with surface land expertise from exploration to production
• Currently working on two pilot projects at 10,000 barrels/day each
• Currently working on one major project at 100 000+ barrels / day
